EGGS
The egg symbolizes fertility and new beginnings. When we translate this into spiritual terms, the shape of the egg symbolizes the first step towards achieving our goals and dreams. It is a symbol of fullness, perfection and balance. It is considered an excellent omen bringing a thousand good fortunes.
In all traditions, from East to West, and from North to South, the egg is the origin of the existence of all creatures. It potentially contains the germ of all life.
By its form, its consistency, its materials, shell, membrane, yellow, white symbolically defines the world as it is hierarchized: the lower world, the upper world:
The yolk, heavier than the white, is always at the bottom of the egg.
It represents the lower, visible, earthly, material world.
White symbolizes the higher, impalpable, ethereal world.
For example, if we are feeling vulnerable and perhaps have low self-esteem and want to change that, we can meditate with a crystal egg. We meditate while holding the egg in our hand (eggs have a special, comforting feel.) And we imagine the situations (or people) that are causing us to feel vulnerable. And we will feel the energy of our crystal egg surrounding us like a shield or armor. Ask what we can do to change this situation, how can we be different. See ourselves responding to the situation or person in an appropriate way (for example, by asserting ourselves). Visualize ourselves doing this until it feels real and powerful.
